French - re-enators
There was interest last time, but nothing came of it. If there is the same this time, what do people say to French troops ?
I would not advocate a joint march, rather a parallel march whereby any French troops follow a French route back to Dunkirk and that there is a link up in the vicinity of Wormhoudt, I'd like opinions please

I have nothing against that at all. If they look as good as those fellas at the fort they would be great.

Sounds fine, mate! The closer we met to the beaches the better I think...

I think I may still have the contact details of the Froggy officer bloke we met at the fort. The one with the chicken on his flag. To be fair they were a good bunch and looked after us well.
I'm happy to meet up on the last day or maybe the day before. It might make begging for water in peoples houses a bit easier if we can speak the lingo too.

Now, now, they're our gallant Allies. BTW, some of us DO speak the lingo.

Only joking!
They did look good at the fort in 2010... And certainly seem to concentrate on the details. They did treat us very well indeed... Would be good to mix it up again.

I know that! The way the French people we came across treated us was one of the most beautiful things about that entire trip. From the guy with the bits of Bren carrier in his barn who gave us water, the old lady with the cafe in Cassel, the guy who bought us all tea in the little place in Warhem, Sabine welcoming all of us into her restaurant, to the French re-enactors in the fort giving us all that food and drink without hesitation, the hospitality was overwhelming.
